hey guys i found this on the internet and i thought it was pretty cool!
I noticed some more stuff I missed after the first showing. I love the movie and allthe hidden themes from the bible in it. I count at least 30 hidden things in it.......check it out and see if you missed any.......all of these are only my opinions by the way...who knows how many more or less CS Lewis hid in his original story.
1. The Professor's House represents the twist & turns of life.
2. The hidden place called Narnia in the wardrobe represents the frozen cold world that exist on earth under the influence of a self proclaimed ruler(White Witch), not the true King(Christ - represented by Aslan).
3. White Witch Queen represents the devil. She chooses white to elude purity, but she is really filled with evil along with her wolverous demons.
4. Aslan, of course, represents Jesus. (Justice)
5. The Faun Lucy meets deals with an inner goodness and decency that we all feel at times deep within our soul. Even though there are two sides battling within us, we know what is right somehow - even though we don't always do it at first.
6. Lucy tells her brothers and sister of this "other realm," and they doubt her - a representative of atheist who do not believe there is a greater purpose to this earth and our being here.
7. Edmond meets the Queen (represents the devil) and she offers him a fruit treat. The treat represents our selfish desires and the fruit turkish delight represents the first sin as Eve desired the fruit from the tree in te garden of eden. The root of all sin is selfishness - which edmond was. Selfish.
8. Once edmond ate the fruit delight (apple) he sinned and was the property on the witch(devil).
9. Edmond was used as a pawn to do the queens dirty work. Many sinners are the same but they do not realize it until much damage has been done.
10. The Witch's kindness and generosity is artificial - as satan's tricks are false treats too.
11. The professor brings out the point that there is another world even though some may lie about it (Edmond) we can listen to those who we know to be trustworthy friends (Lucy in this case).
12. The children ask the beaver to show that he is their friend. He shows them the hankerchief. This represents our faith in the message. Not a stupis belief in the unknown, but based on certain facts that point to the reality of the truth in Jesus.
13. "Son of Adam/Daughters of Eve" = represent that we are all children of Adam, or even more, children of God.
14. Magic by the white witch represents the powers that God has allowed the devil to have. not truly the devils own power, but only what little God will let him have. Let me add that as God pulls back in the last days, the devils powers will grow until the Lord locks him up in hell and takes his so-called authority away.
15. Beavers represent prophets or the tellers of the prophecies of old (bible messengers).
16. Father Christmas represents the coming of Aslan. Just as Christ came 2000 years ago, on a day we celebrate as Christmas, father christmas comes at the beginning of the thaw of narnia, and instead of "toys", he brings "tools" that will help the children of God defeat the devil and his demons.
17. Peter's fight with the wolf represents a fundamental change for him as well as us: from childhood to adult. Inmature Chirstian to Mature Christian.
18. The petrified creatures represent the white witch's power to muder for a season, only to be broken later on by the power of Christ, who...(see next comment)
19. Aslan (representing Christ) after being killed, rises again (comes back to life) proving He has ultimate power over all things, and since He can raise himself from the dead, he can also "unpetrify" the dead creatures the white which had taken in her own abused power.
20. Edmonds change represents at least 2 things in my opinion. A-That God desires us all to come to Him, and B-That anyone can have a change of heart given the right circumstances.
21. The witch meantions the Law that can not be broken. This represents something paramount from holy scriptures. That "blood sacrifice" must be paid for our sins.
22. The which sat down quiclkly when Aslan "roared," which represented the power in Jesus that every knee shall bow, which includes even satan himself.
23. The the white which accepted Aslan's sacrifice of Himself, to let go of her claims to Edmond, so she made a big deal of embarrassing Aslan in the worst way, representing the most awful death ever invented, death by the cross, naked and hung out so all could see. When she cut off His mane, it represented the way they tore Jesus' clothes and whipped him, making Him suffer.
24. The death blow by the witch, the knife tha is, represented the nails and spear that the roman soldiers (through the devils influence) used to kill Jesus.
25. When Aslan came back to life, it represented the ressurection of Jesus.
26. The stone table (complete with prophetic writing on the sides) represents the Justice system set up by God. And when it broke in half, it represented the curtains of the ancient temple being torn at the death of Jesus. This represented our access to God(justice) through Christ in the bible. The law no longer holds us nor does the devil have authority that he once had. Christ's holy sacrifice broke the old covenant or control the devil had, and now the devil has no authority unless we join his side by choice.
27. During the "battle" at the end of the movie (not the end all "war"), the White Witch prepared to take Narnia (the realm of all things) back for herself, but she doesn't realize that with Aslan alive, she no longer has the power she thought she had. She really messed up. And with Jesus by our side, as Aslan was with the 4 humans and the creatures(angels) the battles are not the same as they once were. Only by here tricking us can she win. But if we trust in Jesus, we will alwasy win the battles, and eventually the war at the end of ages(armegeddon).
28. Edmonds sins are to be forgotten - for Aslan can alone do this, as Asaln says they are "in the past...no need to bring them up again."
29. Jesus walking down the beach and disappearing represented His existence, but then He had to leave as Jesus did through the clouds - only to promise His return one day.
30. We are left with the idea that there is more to come. For this is only one battle within the entire war between Satan vs. God/Jesus/Holy Spirit.
So I close this blog entry with a question. Whose side will you be on when Aslan (Jesus) comes back to finish this war of Narnia? For more details on the real story, read your bible. |
